Privacy is a hot topic in the software industry. At Synchrimedia we value the trust between our customers and our small company, so we're careful about how we handle customer data and take steps to protect our customers and their private information. We do not record any information when a product is downloaded from our own website. Nor do we record visitors to our site. We do, however, record the IP address of the person registering the software to track the number of users vs. the number of licenses purchased, but this information is kept private and never shared with any 3rd parties.

Sales or downloads made through the Mac App Store are all handled by Apple. Apple do not share any of that information with us, there isn't even a way for us to validate a purchase.

Our customers are contacted mainly when a new version of any of our software titles is released. These upgrades have always been free of charge. We only use email information to validate customer status in our database and for contacting them regarding the software they purchase. No emails are collected from non-customer email queries.
The App Store update solution is a sealed box, we do not know how Apple does it or what Apple does with any information submitted to their store.
E-mails may be kept on our servers for upto 4 years, and are only used for support or product improvement purposes.

Customers are auto-enrolled into our mailing list only for the purpose of letting them know when a new version of their software is released or if important usability information needs to be shared. Customers may choose to unsubscribe from said mailing list, however, they would risk not getting notified of new versions that are available to download.
We use MailChimp online software to handle the mailing lists. Only subscriber emails are stored by MailChimp. We do not take a copy of subscriber information, nor do we pass it onto any third party ever. We only use this information to send out notices of new applications, application updates and any promotions.

We do not record any information about the interactions we have with our customers on various social media sites, except if we need to follow up with a customer at a later date.
